If you are fat, bloated and sick then you might consider eating a diet that helps eliminate candida from your body. Some people embarking on a candida-free diet have been known to lose 10 pounds in 4 weeks but you can also lose 10 pounds in 5 days if you really take this type of diet seriously.
Your intestine is loaded with good and bad bacteria. If you have ever taken an antibiotic, the antibiotic killed the good bacteria in your gut. This allowed the bad bacteria, including Candida yeast, to over-grow abnormally.
When Candida overgrows in the intestine it burrows itself into the intestinal wall. It also turns into a fungus spreading throughout the entire body. The yeast and the fungus feed on simple carbohydrates such as sugar, yeast, bread, pasta, cake, ice cream, etc.
Candida is the main cause of carbohydrate food cravings. It is also a major cause of constipation, gas, bloating, and a protruding stomach and waist. It causes depression, lack of concentration, a feeling of spaciness and fatigue, When the Candida burrows itself into the intestinal wall it creates pockets where food is trapped. When food is trapped in the intestine it begins to turn toxic.
Interestingly enough, these toxic food particles create actual cravings for that food while at the same time producing allergic reactions to that food. It’s a catch-22. The condition actually makes you crave foods that make you feel bad and also make you very fat.
The Candida condition also creates a second cause of food cravings which is parasites. These parasites leech on the body, leaving nutritional deficiencies. The person then develops uncontrollable cravings for certain kinds of food. The body, however, cannot assimilate the nutrients effectively due to the clogged liver and colon; therefore, the food cravings comeback frequently and persist.
Here are some simple suggestions for food substitutions that you can experiment with at home that can help reduce the unhealthy cravings for the real thing.
Sugar – Maple syrup or agave nectar, both of which alkalize the body can be used as substitutes for the “slow sweet killer.”
Salt – Use pink Himalayan salt which has no toxins and contains eighty-four elements found in your body
Flour – Replace white flour with spelt or rice flour which are both superior sources of fiber
Rice – If you must eat rice then eat brown rice which has higher sources of trace minerals
Dairy – Replace cow’s milk with brown rice milk, oat milk, almond milk or hemp milk. Hemp milk has omega fatty acids.
You don’t need to look at this in terms of failure or success or tell others what you are doing. The goal is progress, not perfection. For instance if you are at a dinner party and there is nothing but pasta to eat then eat the pasta and pick up from where you left off in the fast the next day.
When you switch to an acidic diet you are simply at less risk for candida which can make you feel quite lethargic and unwell.
