How to Lose 10 Pound Eating A High Protein Dinner

It used to be that you were guaranteed to lose 10 lbs in 30 days if you ate a hearty breakfast and then a light supper. The theory was that eating a lighter supper or not eating at all after six pm would condition the body to lose weight. Oprah Winfrey first introduced this as a concept to losing weight on her television show more than twenty years ago.

Now there is a new theory that says you can lose 10 lbs in 5 days if you reverse that old dieting rule and instead eat a light breakfast or no breakfast at all. Most dieters are shocked to hear this. For years they have been told that they would have to do exactly the opposite to lose weight.

Of course eating lighter at the end of the day has always been a little bit challenging. It is a time when most of us can relax and truly take the time to enjoy the company of friends and family. You also don’t have to rush off to work or school. It just seems more logical to have the heavier meal near the end of the day rather than at the beginning. Have a light breakfast (maybe some eggs on rye bread or oatmeal with chia seeds) and then enjoy that heart dinner much later in the day. You will be more relaxed and be able to digest your foods better.

However if this is going to work as a weight loss plan there are some conditions that apply. I will only work if –

  • The meal is mostly protein and not carbohydrates (which is similar to eating in the manner of the Atkins or South Beach Diet)
  • The meal is low sodium
  • The meal includes raw fruits and vegetables so you are able to take advantage of enzymes.

Here’s the rationale behind this theory of eating:

Carbohydrates, especially vegetables and pastas are quite bland by themselves and to compensate, we make the accompanying food more flavorful by doing cooking with more salt.

!  Your best sources of this type of food are –

  • Egg whites
  • Tuna
  • Tofu
  • Chicken
  • Fish
  • Cheese (but no more in one sitting than is the size of a pair of dice.)

When they are eaten together, the carbs even out the over-flavoured food and the over-flavored food makes the carbs less bland. Therefore, if carbs are taken out, then salt can also be reduced. This way we get all of the benefits that eating less salt can entail.

Lose weight fast diet: lose 10 lbs in 3 weeks by following some simple nutritional guidelines.

If you have this regularly for a few weeks, you will find that your taste buds would have adjusted to a lower salt “tolerance” and that processed food (canned food, takeaway meals and all of the rest) are way too salty for your liking. This is all good for your diet!

When you permanently alter your preference and eat only high protein and low-salt meals, you are well on your way to successful permanent weight loss as salt is a major culprit in thwarting your weight loss.
