If you want to lose 10 lbs at the usual reasonable rate of weight loss which is two pounds per week, you will reach this goal weight in five weeks. It is easy to peel the pounds off if you follow these weight loss rules:
1. Drink a ton of water.
Add up your weight in pounds and then divide that number in half. That is the number of ounces of water that you should drink a day. If in doubt about what this amount actually is you will be well hydrated if you drink at least eight glasses of water a day. You need water to help flush toxins out of your body.
2. Eat protein three times a day and keep the servings less than four ounces.
This means a piece of meat you eat should be less than the size of deck of cards. Fill the rest of your plate with healthy vegetables and stay away from eating anything white like potatoes, rice or bread. Vegetables on your plate often count as being negative calories. This simply means they do not count as “fat creating calories.” However they will provide you with enough fuel so that you can get through your workouts without getting exhausted.
3. Make your biggest meal breakfast and then last on that fuel as long as you can all day.
Keep dinner as the smallest meal and then try not to eat anything at all after six o’clock at night. This does help you stay away from that mindless snacking in front of the television that sabotages so many weight loss plans. However be sure to drink plenty of water at night as water helps your body flush out toxins and fat overnight.
4. Stop drinking all colas and other carbonated drinks.
Studies have shown that women who drink colas are maintaining an extra fifteen to twenty pounds on their frame every month. Even those women who drink diet cokes or carbonated drinks are a lot heavier than those who don’t drink sugary drinks. Soda water is also not a good choice as it is so high in sodium.
5. Exercise both with weights and by running at least three times a week for five weeks.
Watching what you eat alone will not cause your body to lose weight quickly; you also need to work out. If possible enroll in a bikini boot camp to help you get your body in shape as fast as possible. These are five to six week courses where you are put through a grueling drill of interval training to help melt the pounds away.
Keep in mind that to lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks (or any amount of time) takes patience. There is no one magic pill or formula that is going to peel those pounds off for you. What you need to do is realize that a lot of these changes have to do with your routine and lifestyle. Like any project that you want to complete, you have to make time in your life to devote to it or it will just not happen.
